Gorillaz melted our hearts and ears with Plastic Beach so were excited to hear that they would have a second album out by Christmas. Recorded on an iPad over 32 days on the road, The Fall is stripped down chill yet still good head-bopping fun. Thanks for the great Christmas present, Damon and co.!

Oh-Ten: A year in mind explosions and freakouts at live shows

2010 was an amazing year for…everything. We got this blog up and running on the regular, even got a bit of a following (thank you all) and we got to experience some beautiful things together including great shows.

It feels like we got everything we hoped for (with the exception of Radiohead and Daft Punk concerts but we’re crossing our fingers for 2011, haha). Surprisingly, every single show we went to turned our brains inside out and made us happy to be alive one way or another (even when suckers messed with our Zen thing). This year went so deep down in our history, we fear 2011 may not top it, definitely a hard one to forget. Especially after we wrote and took pics of a great deal of it :)

Gorillaz's new album The Fall out by Christmas

The 15 track sonic journal, titled The Fall, produced by Gorillaz and Stephen Sedgwick, will be available to download for free by Sub Division fan club members on Christmas Day and will also be streamed on Gorillaz.com from Christmas Day.
